The Thing You Like Most About Teaching:  Our lives tell a story, and I feel lucky to be a part of my students’ stories.  People ask me why I teach middle school, and I tell them 12-year-olds need love too.

The Thing You Find Most Challenging About Teaching:  I hate to see a young person with great potential who chooses to do nothing.

Best Tip for New Teachers:  Find one thing you love about each child.

Best Tip for Career Teachers:  We don’t let kids fail.

Favorite Piece of Advice for Students: There will inevitably be people in life that don’t believe you can be successful.  They will tell you, you can do it.  You need to decide if you are going to listen to them or listen to yourself.

What Being a Gold Star Teacher Means to You:  It means what I do each day matters, and I get to share that moment with all of the people I care about (the kids, colleagues,  friends, and family.)
