The Thing You Like Most About Teaching: The students!!! They are interested in everything and anything! No two days are the same just as no two years are the same.  Each year brings new faces, new personalities, and a new fresh adventure!

The Thing You Find Most Challenging About Teaching: The most challenging thing about teaching is time….finding enough of it to fit in everything you want to do!

Best Tip for New Teachers: Begin to build a strong community within your classroom on the first day of school.  Let them know you are and are interested in everything about them.  Model that learning can be fun!

Best Tip for Career Teachers: Everyday brings a little joy and remember why we’re here!

Favorite Piece of Advice for Students: When you have a decision to make always do the right thing, which is usually the kindest thing!

What Being a Gold Star Teacher Means to You: I have been so fortunate through the years to teach with teachers who are “gold stars” whether they’ve received this award or not.  The Gold Star Award raises the awareness that we as teachers have a big influence on little lives every day.  We are here to make a difference.
