The Thing You Like Most About Teaching: That every day is a new and fresh start with its own challenges and rewards.

The Thing You Find Most Challenging About Teaching: I find it a challenge to fully engage all levels of learners every period of every day.  Creating and implementing activities to make the best use of everyone’s time is difficult.

Best Tip for New Teachers: Every student comes with a different story and every one of them is worthy of your time and attention.

Best Tip for Career Teachers: Be open to new ideas and be willing to try something different.  You may be surprised what you find.

Favorite Piece of Advice for Students: Making excuses and putting things off always ends up making it harder in the long run.  It is a lot easier to do it right the first time.  And never, never, never give up.  You can do it!

What Being a Gold Star Teacher Means to You: Being a gold star means that I have a student who cared enough to express how I have made a difference in his or her life.  I am so fortunate to be able to be recognized for something that so many teachers do every day.
