Best Tip for New Teachers: Make building relationships with your students, and their families, your #1 priority. You will see success in your classroom when you build those relationships. And ALWAYS remember to be kinder than necessary; you may not know the battles your students are facing outside of your classroom.
Best Tip for Career Teachers: Never lose track of the students who cross through your threshold.
Favorite Piece of Advice for Students: Always do better than your best!
What Being a Gold Star Teacher Means to You: To me, being a Gold Star Teacher means that those relationships I have built over the years, with my students and their families, have clearly made an impact in their lives, to have taken the time to nominate me for such an incredible award. I am blessed beyond words to join such an incredible group of teachers.
